Ski Maine members are committed to ensuring everyone has access to outdoor recreation. As part of that commitment Ski Areas, Nordic Centers and our affiliated members put environmental sustainability at the forefront of their operations. Which ensures continued enjoyment of the beauty that Maine offers.
Sustainable slopes
Sustainable Slopes developed by the ski industry is 2000, provides an overarching framework for ski areas on sustainability and enhanced environmental performance.
Mt. Abram, Shawnee Peak, Sugarloaf and Sunday River are all signatories.
Golden Eagle
The Golden Eagle Awards are presented annually to ski areas for environmental performance.
